APPROACH TO TREATMENT
I chose to specialize in child and developmental psychiatry because I believe that for a person of any age, the key to developing successful diagnoses and treatments is understanding and uncovering the difficulties and trauma that brought somebody to a place where they are now seeking help.
Once those difficulties have been explored, I then bring to bear not just classic dynamic interventions but also cutting edge psychopharmacological and behavioral treatments as well as a variety of supplemental interventions including hypnosis, lifestyle interventions, sleep treatments, relational therapy, and family therapy.
I believe that taking this holistic perspective is just as important for adults as it is for children. There will never be a one size fits all treatment and it is always my endeavor to continually shape and reshape a treatment to the evolving needs of my patient.
